Max Irons has opened up about the pressure of being the son of award-winning actor Jeremy Irons.
Max has landed several high profile roles in Red Riding Hood and the new Stephenie Meyer film The Host.
In an interview with Page Six, Max revealed that he has been determined not to cash in on his father’s name in order to achieve fame.
“He gives me advice on the business side of things,” Max explained to the publication.
“I want to enter a stage of my career where my name isn’t prefaced with ‘son of Jeremy Irons’.”
Max’s next major screen role will be starring as the priest-turned-music teacher in the biopic Vivaldi, which opens later this year.
His current movie The Host is now playing in the US and the UK.
